23.5 Cutting and Finishing

Cutting is not done right after inserting threads but after pulling the procedure part more.

23.5.1 Finishing (Pulling)

With one hand hold both ends of the thread at the exit, and fix the skin at the cog/cone after moving the skin to the direction from the original location to the entry point using the other hand with the feeling that the cog is caught in the skin(viz., while the thread stays in the original location, push and lift the skin toward the entry point). Repeat this process twice or thrice. While this process takes place, an assistance must be pressing the anchoring point using his/her hand. If the physician pulls the thread too strongly without this, tearing of the anchoring point can happen (see Fig. 23.11m temporal fixation).
